I did go to Zumba this morning, so I wasn't totally useless today.
Here are the pics from yesterday that I took of Eis. She's funny with her feet up :)
Anyway, today we just played, danced around, ate, and napped. She seems to get more and more attached everyday. I was hoping for a slightly more independent child, but oh well, maybe someday.
Anyway, I was reading Amanda's blog and she was talking about her next round of fertility treatment. She and her husband have been trying to get pregnant for 30 months. Thirty months! That's two and a half years. Wow. I can't even imagine the emotional and mental toll that would take. Plus, thinking about all the money they have to spend on visits, treatments, procedures, and other things... I can't even fathom.
I would be so discouraged. I wouldn't even try if I didn't have my insurance covering everything. I can't believe how incredibly lucky I have been with Tricare. Since September 2010, I have had knee surgery, innumerable baby doctor appointments, multiple ultrasounds, a biopsy, thyroid surgery, labor and delivery, another thyroid surgery, months of physical therapy appointments, MRIs of my shoulder, cervial, and lumbar spine, and injections in my spine, neck, and shoulder.
Thinking about what that would have cost with any other insurance is mind numbing. I wouldn't be broke because I wouldn't have had most of it done. I wonder how much money Amanda and Brian have spent and will spend before they get pregnant. I suppose if you want a baby more than anything, that it's worth it. Though it's a lot when you have to spend that much to get pregnant, then spend all the money for the 10 months of appointments and it doesn't help that it costs thousands just to deliver the baby and stay in the hospital for a couple days.
She may have to have a C-section, since her sister did, and that costs even more than a vaginal delivery. And all that is the cheapest part of a child.... It just gets more and more expensive once they're born. I want to save my Rock-n-Play, Kickin' Coaster, Bumbo, cradle, Little Lamb, Rainforest jumperoo, billions of bottles, Medela pump stuff, and electronic pump and give them to her so she has less to buy. I was lucky enough to be given a lot of things and I didn't have to pay for 30+ months of trying to have a baby.
*sigh*
Tyler should be home in ten-ish days... I miss hugs. And kisses. And love.
