Yesterday, when I went to walk with Leslie and her baby, I had Eis in my left arm and got the stroller out with my right. I pushed the bottom out with my foot, but instead of it opening, the whole thing just dropped back and bashed me in the shin. My leg was dented and hurt something fierce! Now, it's just all swollen and starting to bruise. I only noticed the swelling in the night when I got up to tend to Eis.
Anyway, this morning, I packed up the big Lexus and we left to drop off stuff at the house in Heights. I got quite a bunch of stuff crammed into the car. The plan was to drive during Eisley's nap, so she could nap on the way there and on the way back and be awake and playing while in Heights.
Unfortunately, she did not nap on the drive, but screamed and cried for much of it. At best, she was just whining. I ended up giving her a bottle of juice and milk, which was supposed to be her snack after she woke up.
I put her down for a nap when we got to the house, but she didn't sleep longer than 30 minutes. She was awake shortly after Christine came to look at the house. Once Christine left, I got my mom and Eis and we went to WalMart to get a few things.
I picked up some new wipers for the truck, some weed killer, juice, milk, and food for Eis and some snacks for us, since we were hungry. We ate and relaxed once we got back to the house. Eis played for a bit longer before we packed up and drove home.
Mom and I were in the truck with Eis and my dad drove the Lexus. Luckily, Eis fell asleep about 30 minutes into the drive, so she got a decent nap on the way home. And because she was sleeping, we were able to stop by HEB and I ran in to get stuff for dinner, while Mom stayed in the car with Eis.
I picked up steaks for my mom and I, and some hotdogs for my dad. I got everything ready and grilled when we got to the house. While I cooked, Eis and my mom were outside on the deck and my dad watched golf.
Eis went down fairly easy tonight, but was a bit fussy during her bath and in general throughout the day and evening. Just within the past week, she has become highly attached to me and will cry or fuss if I'm not holding her. Standing next to her and paying her attention isn't enough anymore. Sheesh! I hope she doesn't give Ty a hard time.
I am so excited to see Ty that I could poo. It feels like the days just can't go quick enough.
