I went to my shoulder MRI today. I had to push my shoulder into this "cup" (for lack of a better word) and then I had to put my palm toward the ceiling. They laid a weight on my forearm and wrist, so I could just relax my arm.
Although it was nice to "relax" my arm, it did hurt my shoulder after about a minute. Unfortunately, I had to be still for twenty whole minutes. I had to really focus on the music to ignore the pain. However, after the twenty minutes, I was more than ready to go home.
Eis was napping when I got home and when she woke up, she, mom, and I went to run some errands. We got some Starbucks, then went to The Beauty Store and my mom bought my dad a new brush. She sat in the back and gave Eis a bottle and we drove to Target.
Mom bought Eis a few things and I got new windshield wipers for my car. It was raining pretty hard when we were set to leave, so I had to change the wipers as it poured down. It wouldn't have been so bad, but it was also 40º so I felt freezing, too.
Eventually, I got it all sorted out, then got my mom and Eis in the car and we headed home. Eis fell asleep on the way, so I had to sit in the car with her once we got home, so she could finish her nap. Wouldn't you know, she napped for an hour an forty-five minutes! I was dying to get out of the car and change out of my wet clothes, use the bathroom, and just stretch out, but I sat there like a good mama and chatted with Tyler for a bit.
I chose to stay home for dinner, while my folks went out. They usually take me and Eis, but I was just crampy and beat, not to mention, Eis was fussy for the heck of it. I ended up bathing her at 1800, then she was getting her bottle by 1825. She "read" Goodnight Moon (or as I say, "goodnight moonskers") with Daddy, then I read some Harry Potter to her and she went to sleep.
We're doing pretty good on the HPs. She's seven months old and we're on book seven, so it's worked out to a book a month, which is faster than I though it would be. Meanwhile, I am rereading the Hunger Games series... at least I assume I will. I am only on the first book (for the second time).
I am tired. Not necessarily sleepy-tired, but worn down and out-of-steam. It's a terrible way to feel... daily. I am hoping it's just the deployment and I'll feel "better" once Tyler is home, but who knows. If it's the combination of having a child and being in pain, then I'm screwed. Royally.
