Day 286: Out and About

There was no Zumba today.  I woke up and got Eis ready, then my mom, Ray, Eis, and I all went to an early lunch... I suppose it was brunch, as the time was 1045 by the time we ate.

Anyway, we went to Baguette au Chocolate and I got a crepe with ham, cheese, and mushrooms.  It was rather tasty.  My mom suggested we go by the Home Consignment store and check for furniture for Eis, but everything was so unbelievably overpriced, it was nuts.  There was also nothing appropriate for a child, so that I was not disappointed by seeing something I wanted.

We came home and Eis napped while I chatted with Ty.  When she woke from her second nap, we went to take pics in the bluebonnets.  However, as soon as I sat her down, she started crying and wringing her hands.  It was not quite what I hoped... as you can see.  I got them all up on flickr, as well as the ones from the other day.

I stupidly thought she would want to touch the flowers or enjoy seeing the pretty things around her.  I took a few pics, regardless, though we will have to try again.  I really would like some where she's not crying.

It was time for another nap when we got home, then we left for dinner when she woke.  We all went to Z Tejas and it was pretty yummy.  We got some queso, guacamole, and salsa to eat while we had margaritas.  For the most part, we all got something small for dinner, though -- I think I knew I wouldn't be super hungry.

My dad and I got two margaritas each, while my mom and Ray each got one.  However, my dad didn't finish his, so I finished it for him.  I was feeling it pretty good by the time we left.  I bathed Eis and put her down for bed when we got home and then I laid on my bed and stared at whatever was on tv for a couple hours until I was about my wits again.

Yesterday, I pulled Eis in her highchair closer to the table and accidentally pinched the side of my foot.  Now, I have a wicked bruise on my foot and it does not feel so great to walk on, but there's nothing I can do.

I am having trouble concentrating.  I put The Tempest on on Showtime On Demand, since it has Reeve Carney in it -- and he's one of my favorites.  Unfortunately, this movie is in Shakespearean English, as it was written, which means that it loses a lot of its allure.  I think they imagined it to be like Romeo and Juliet was with Leo and Claire, but they've not made it modern, so it's incredibly un-relateable.

We close on the refinance tomorrow.  I got a call this afternoon and Michelle told me there was a snag.  The POA has a different amount than the final loan amount, which means we either have to get another POA or I have to make a check out for the difference.  I said I'd make a check for the difference, since it would be easier.  There is no chance of getting another POA here.  Tyler will be home before we could get one.  Who knows, the whole thing may not even work.
