I feel very distant from Ty, even though he's home. He doesn't talk to me very much; he's incredibly sensitive; he gets irritated easily.
He's always been fairly sensitive, but getting irritated was my thing. He was always the one with the cool head, this making it weird when he gets angry.
The talking thing is the worst. He doesn't say much to me and he usually gets irritated or hurt when I speak, so I find I feel more alone Than I did when he was gone -- at least then I had my folks around all the time. It's hard when I want to talk, but it seems to be the only thing I can't do.

Day 296: Around the House
I got the truck inspected today between Eisley's first and second naps. It took a while, so by the time we got home, she was more than ready for her nap.
I watched a couple shows while she slept, since I'd not watched any in a while because I'd been reading a book to Tyler and emailing it to him. It took an average of 20 minutes per chapter, which is a lot longer than it took to read silently. However, I enjoyed doing something for Tyler. I hope he's able to listen to it while he travels home.
I'm moving to the house tomorrow. There's no net or cable hooked up. For the most part, I'm done blogging, since Tyler will be home in a few days. Though, I think I'll update every so often... maybe. It really depends on how much time I get with Tyler...

Day 295: Heights
Round two of stuff to Heights.
I filled up the Matrix. Wednesday, we will take the "last" load... at least until Tyler is home :)
There is very little left here at the moment, but enough to get me to Wednesday...
I was packing the car and Puck was beside himself with worry. At one point he escaped outside and sat by the open car door, staring at me. It was heartbreaking. I gave him some treats and told him I'd be back in a few hours.
Anyway, we left after Eis woke from her nap. Mom sat in the back with her, so she wouldn't cry and feel alone. We went to look at a "dresser" that I found on Craigslist, before we did anything else. It was beautiful, but I was shocked to see how small it was. The pictures were deceptive and there was no information giving size.
Eis woke up from yet another nap, so we stopped by WalMart. We bought a new yogurt snack thing for Eis and she loved it. We fed her little freeze-dried yogurt disks as we went around the store. She loves riding in the cart. She loves even more when I drive it all crazy!
When we got to the house, Mom gave Eis her bottle and played with her, while I unpacked the car.
The house is officially insane. Everything is in boxes and it's incredibly daunting. I don't know what to do or where to start. I think I may wait til Ty gets home to do anything. We have to go through every single box, anyway, and try to get rid of even more stuff. We have entirely too much.
We have two months to do it...

Day 294: Lunch
I met with Danielle for lunch today, since she was in Austin for an appointment. I enjoy talking to her and spending time with her. She is so beautiful and told me about some body competition she's going to do with a friend in St. Louis, so she has motivation to get in better shape. She's trying to get down to 10-15% body fat.
Sheesh.
Needless to say, I felt mildly unattractive after leaving her. I could really use a taming of my hair. It's been two months since it was trimmed and is morphing into a weird style. Unfortunately, I'm cheap, so I'm waiting as long as possible... like til June.
On another note, I've been trying to find a photographer to take pics for me during homecoming. For free, of course! How? you ask. Well, through OP Love! It's a site where photographers donate their time and sessions to military families. I contacted the best photographer and she's busy, so I contacted the others who are nearby because any is better than none.
I just wish Katie Lee could do it, but she's not a part of OP Love and would cost a lot. She is phenomenal, though.

Day 295: Heights and Hunger
Mom, Eis, and I dropped off a big Lexus-full of stuff today in Heights. I have very little left here for myself. Most of Eisley's stuff is here and we will take it Monday and Wednesday.
I took a pic of one of the fields we pass on 2484. It is gorgeous and full of lantana...?
Tonight, I have been working on reading THG into GarageBand. I've got three hours of myself reading and that's only the nine chapters of Part I! I sent it to iTunes but it was like 109MB, so I couldn't mail it.
I ha to spend another two hours breaking it down by chapters and moving each to iTunes then emailing each m4a file. I wasted so much time just making it all smaller!
It might have been easier had I had a newer or "bigger" computer. However, mine is so full of stuff and just out of space, so everything takes a bit longer.
I have to remember to have Tyler ask if the army will move his motorcycle for him or if we have to do that. If it's in the truck, then we don't need a tonneau cover, but that means we can't take the stuff in the truck that we would have.
We also have to send in the paperwork for housing as soon as he gets home, since I would like to have a house to live in when we are there.
I am looking forward to being able to have discussions and not rely on my thumbs and iPhone to talk to him ;)

Day 294: shopping
Went to target and babies r us. Bought the apptivity for the iPhone, a pool, shoes, an outfit, swim shirt all for eis... And a dress for me :)
While at BRU, we found some cute bunny ears and eis wore them... They were not cute enough to buy though.
I decided that Tyler needs to read The Hunger Games, but he doesn't have them, so I decided to read them to him. Although I have read the first book twice in just a couple weeks' time, I didn't think about recording it until now. It makes things hard, since I have to do it fast so he can download it before he leaves.
I started last night and although I read the whole book in a few hours, it takes an average of 20 minutes to read each chapter aloud. That doesn't count mistakes I make and have to fix.

Day 293: Lookalike
I accidentally got sunburned today. It hurts and I can't believe I was so dumb.
Anyway, I was randomly hit yesterday by the thought of how often I get told that I "look like" someone. Ninety-nine percent of the time, it is someone famous that is thrown out, but occasionally I'll look like some random girl.
After trying to remember all those faces, I thought there were more, but perhaps I've forgotten some. Regardless, through the years, I have been said I look like the following celebrities:
That would be:
Brooke Shields
Alicia Silverstone
Christa Miller
Nicole Kidman
Meg Ryan
Dev
Morena Baccarin
Kristen Stewart
I don't get why someone ever suggested "Nicole Kidman." I am not sure they knew what she looks like...
However, they all do have a similar look to them. I think it's the symmetry of the faces. I have a very symmetrical face, as it fits the golden ratio. Here's an explanation of the golden ratio, if you didn't know.
* Face is 1.5 times longer than it is wide
* The forehead hairline to a spot between the eyes; between the eyes to the bottom of the nose; and the bottom of the nose to the bottom of the chin are all equal in length.
* The length of an ear is equal to the length of the nose, and the width of an eye is equal to the distance between the eyes.
