Anyway, today I took Eis to my parents first thing because I was dying for a shower. I didn't even change or feed her! I just took her in and said she was dirty and I'd take her when I finished showering. Showers take a surprisingly long time when one's hair is falling out. I read that when you're preggo, one's hair cycles are put on pause, meaning none-ish fall out for a number of months. However, once the baby is born, the cycles kick back in and in an attempt to normalize, all that accumulated hair is lost. I feel like I should be bald though because I am practically losing handfuls every shower, plus all the hair that comes out when I comb/dry my hair! I spend so much of my time in the shower pulling hairs off my hands and trying to keep them together so they don't clog the drain and so I don't have a mess to clean after I get out, but can just toss my little wad of hair away.
After the shower, I got Eis and nursed her while watching a tv show from last week. Then we went into the kitchen and I made a bagel-thin egg sandwich. I scrambled some eggs, toasted a bagel with some honey-baked ham, then put the eggs on with a slice of cheese. It was a pretty good breakfast, though could have been better with a different bread, cheese, and meat.
Eis was sleepy when I finished, so I put her down for a nap. She only cried a couple minutes, then passed out and I picked up any clutter in my room so the maids could vacuum. However, until they came back to my "wing," I hooked up the Wii and had my parents come watch some Eddie Izzard with me via Netflix. I think my dad thinks he's pretty funny, so it was good. Perhaps another time we'll watch Family Guy.
When Eis woke up -- two hours later -- Mom changed her and got her dressed, while I got ready to go. I nursed her and then Mom and I went to Starbucks, then the mall. I got a hot drink at Starbucks -- I like being able to drink hot drinks without sweating, so it has to be cold before I can get them. Anyway, we drove to Nordstrom to park, since we wanted to look for a gift for my Grammie and they have a family bathroom, which makes changing Eis easier.
After a diaper change, we perused the super cute baby things, and drooled over tiny Puma shoes, adorable dresses, and a cute knitted hat. As I looked at the clothes for the slightly older (2-5 year olds) girls, I realised that I need a job or to find a place with amazing deals because I like clothes for me and I like clothes for Eis and I could dress her in such great fashion.
I also looked at hats, scarves, gloves, and other accessories, which I love. I found a hat that I'm going to ask Martha to get me for Christmas, since I have to ask for something.
I looked at Ugg boots and was disappointed that they stopped using the same high quality materials that they used to use. Why should I pay $300 for boots that are not real shearling? If they are real, then it sure doesn't feel that way! I would just love to have boots that are of great quality as my 1980 Ughs (spelling's changed over the years), but slightly better looking and that fit. I've even wondered if I could have these Ughs made into new boots... I bet that'd be pricey!
We stopped in Loft next and I swooned over a sweatshirt-esque jacket. It was so great, but the small was too small in the shoulders, while the medium was too big in the waist. I was bummed because I really liked it. The picture doesn't do it justice. I looks weird unzipped, but it has an asymmetrical zipper and it's warm and fuzzy.
Eis had a dirty diaper while in Loft, so I grabbed a couple items and changed her in the dressing room before I tried them on -- it was just a wet diaper, so it wasn't gross. I just didn't want to have to figure out where in the mall the nearest bathroom was. I also saw this sweater, which looked awesome on, but was so scratchy that I couldn't handle it. Why would I want to pay $98 for something that's made of scratchy material?! I don't want to have to wear long sleeves under it -- I'd swelter!
After Loft, we went to Bath and Body Works and smelled things. I was trying to keep Eis busy because she was tired and fussy, so I would smell a candle, then hold it close to her nose so she could smell it, too. It was funny because when I'd get the candle close, she'd open her mouth and make a face like the was trying to figure out how to smell it. I should have recorded it because it was really cute.
At Macy's, I couldn't find the INC sweater that I wanted, so I have no idea about size or anything on that. I imagine I'm not getting it, since it could not be found. I did try on some awesome hats and found a sweet fedora, but didn't get it. It was a Steve Madden and beautiful.
We got home in time for me to nurse Eisley before we went out to dinner at La Madeleine. I got a salad sampler with strawberries romanoff, chicken salad, and French onion soup. It was yummy! Once home, I went through my four containers looking for my black and white striped scarf that's a jersey material. That's my favourite scarf and I can't find it anywhere! I need to look better at my house, but I hope I didn't lose it somewhere, as it was pretty damn expensive for a jersey scarf!
