Day Six

Found a bit of a snafu today.  I only recalled reading about travel restrictions when Dr. A told me yesterday that she doesn't like when patients travel beyond 33 weeks.  I remember reading something about Tricare not paying if someone went into labor and they were not at their "regular" hospital to deliver.  It wasn't until today that I found the actual writing on the wall... so to speak.  It states:
If you choose to travel after your 34th week of pregnancy and deliver at a different location than where you normally receive maternity care, your claim may be denied. You may have to pay the medical bill. Under the TRICARE program, delivery after 34 weeks gestation is considered an expected and normal event. It is not considered an emergency treatment, and repayment by TRICARE is not authorized.

I am 33 weeks now and will be 34 on Wednesday.  I was supposed to go to Houston from Tuesday until the 22nd or so.  No one wants me to go anywhere IN CASE I go into labor because that'd be a huge cost and totally unnecessary.  However, they also don't want me staying alone cause I'm not 28, married, and totally competent.  I've had to contact friends to make sure they're on standby to drive me to the hospital, should I need it.

On another note, the keybox for the house came yesterday evening, so Martha and I went to Heights today to put it on the house and do a few odds and ends.  We ate at Laurie's Too Tea Room on the way -- it was phenom, as usual -- and got to the house at about 1330-1400.  We packed up a few more items, made signs to not use the toilets, took video of the house, and cleaned the window above the front door.  Although it didn't feel as though we were there that long, we were heading back at about 1630.

Traffic was awesome, as one would expect around 1700 on a Thursday.  We stopped by HEB to get some food for dinner and made it home by 1830.  Martha wasn't too sure about the teriyaki chicken we bought, but I thought it was amazing.

After dinner we worked on our house movies.  She worked on one of the properties she's selling and I worked on piecing together the clips she took of my house.  I got everything clipped and in the order I want, then I added transitions, but what took forever was finding music.  It's hard to find music that "everyone" will "like."  I ended up using about 4-5 song intros, so I wouldn't have the words of the songs to distract.  It's quite the variety, but it's nice... at least I think so.

Tomorrow I'll add some titles/descriptions, then I'll hopefully upload it to youtube and thus my forsalebyowner.com and militarybyowner.com sites.  I want our house to sell because it stresses me out to have only one income and be paying for a house, water, and electricity at a place where we don't even live!   It's up for $161K, but I'd take as low at $153K leaving everything as-is.  It's gorgeous and move-in ready.  I don't know why it won't sell... it has only been 3 months, but that's a whole trimester!

Hopefully all will work out. I just have to keep faith that things will continue to pan out like they're supposed to.  (I can't even imagine how to alter that sentence so it doesn't end with a preposition... maybe "... pan out as they should," but what if I want to use "supposed to"??).

I did get to talk to Ty today and it was great.  He sounded so sleepy and a bit "allergied," but he assured me he was fine, though tired.  He said he'd be on mission all day tomorrow and may not be able to call.  Today he waited 45 minutes to use the phone for 15.  That's rough when you're exhausted.
I told him to make sure he's eating enough -- I know him and I know he's not.  He said the DFAC is not usually open when he has a chance to go over there, so I suggested he get one of his guys to grab him something.  They like him a lot and he's a great guy and who wouldn't want to help out a buddy... He just needs to eat a bit of anything to keep his energy up and stay focused.

I think I'll buy some Cliff Bars in bulk and send him those with his stetson so he can always keep one in a pocket for emergencies.
