Yesterday I went to see my doctor and they really had to work to find the baby's heartbeat cause she kept moving so much. She's incredibly active -- I feel like she moves non-stop. I wonder if other people feel/felt like their baby moved a lot "in the womb." I hear that if a baby is active inside, he or she will be active "outside."
She looked at my spine surgery scar (on my belly) and asked, "If I had to do a C-section, would you want me to do a bikini cut or use the same incision you already have?" I said, "Ideally, I'd prefer using the one I have," because I really don't want a big "+" on my lower belly. I also asked what would have to happen for me to require a C-section, which is if I don't progress during labor, if the baby is in distress, or if she's breech. As of now and for the past forever, she's been breech. She is always laying sideways or with her head "up." I figure in another couple visits, Dr. A will probably do the thing where she'll push on my belly to try to get the baby in the right position.
I have an appointment next week for the Perinatal Group to do some check-ups on me and the baby just cause of the whole thyroid cancer thing. I also found out one of my thyroid levels is high... it's apparently the one that sends the messages from the pituitary gland to the thyroid. So it's sending a lot of messages, so the thyroid will make the right amount of hormone. Needless to say, she's worried it'll "poop out." I will also get another ultrasound next visit, which is always nice.
We also ran some errands and went swimming for a few hours until about 1830. I was so tired from the heat and running errands, that I fell asleep by 2200. I'm pretty sure I was asleep within 60 seconds of laying down.
