Eis didn't quite give me the wonderful four to five hour stretch before I had to wake up, like last time. Instead, she woke up and hour before I had to get up, then 30 minutes before, then 15 minutes before, then she slept until after I left.
Zumba was fine this morning. I have been doing it with ankle weights, which really makes a difference. You really have to control the movements and keep the fast ones rather small, otherwise it'd be easy to get hurt. I would love to be in a giant Zumba class and get to teach. I haven't taught in a while. I taught three routines before Christmas in a class of three people... the time slot she's thinking about cancelling because she doesn't have enough people signed up.
She said she needs at least nine people to keep it. I had two to four when I first started at HP and I was teaching on my own time, when there weren't classes in the aerobics room, just to get it going. I am still blown away by the fact that she charges $99/ month for unlimited Zumba classes, which at most would be 23ish. However, she's taking that down to 13 classes a month if she removes the Tuesday/Thursday classes. I can't believe people pay that much. I wouldn't pay that much for what she does.
It is a small class of older women. I'd say the average age is 55, but I really have no concept of age. Some look old and some don't look so old, but I don't know. I just know that I turned down other jobs because I was under the impression that I would get to teach or make money. However, I get neither. All I want is to be able to cover the cost of being a damned Zumba instructor and pay for diapers each month. It's not really asking that much, but I think I'm stuck now.
I can't start teaching somewhere else now because I'll be gone for a week in January and two weeks in March, then leaving May/June. I wouldn't want to hire someone who would be around only a short amount of time. I'm irritated at Sabrina because I feel like she led me on in saying I could teach a few routines every class. I suppose she thinks it's a great deal for me to get to take her classes for "free," but I'd be inclined to disagree.
After Zumba, I came home and Eis was in her crib, but staring at the cutout of Ty, so I played the audio of Ty reading the True Story of the Three Little Pigs over the speaker, so it would be like he was reading to her. I showered and got dressed, then nursed her. Then I followed Dad to the inspection place to get the little Lexus inspected and I picked him up and brought him home. I took Eis out of the carseat, handed her to Dad, then headed off to rehab.
Kim had two other clients there (times staggered), so I did 10 minutes side-stepping on the treadmill, then 8 minutes on the total gym. She then mashed on me a bit and then I did a million minutes of neck exercises, then some arm/shoulder blade stuff. Needless to say, I have had some awesome twinges today when moving. I really don't know how my body is ever going to get stable enough without me going to rehab for months and months and months.
I have another appointment for Friday, but that's it for a while. Monday I have my SI injection, where I'll ask if he can do my traps again, too, and Wednesday I leave for DC for a week. I don't think my wig will be in before I leave. Sadface. Not only would it help keep me warm, but it would be nice not having gross, thinning hair and bald spots.
Oh! Eisley has been watching Puck for the past week or two, but today, she thought he was funny! She was in the bedroom with my mom and I came in and Puck brought me a toy. He wanted to play tug-of-war, but I made him jump and catch his toy, instead and she giggled. We did it a couple more times and she kept laughing. I had my dad come in to play with Puck, so I could video her laughing and watching him. She doesn't giggle insanely, but she's definitely amused by him :)
It's an unlisted video, so you have to use the link...
And the picture of the day is from a couple days ago that I forgot I took. Fuss-Budget and moi
I wonder what she thinks looking at the cut-out? I can't wait to hear her giggle over stuff, especially about puck. Love the pic, you both look beautiful :)
