When I got back to bed and covered up (both myself and the Bub), I was wide awake. I decided I might as well read until I got sleepy, but I read until 0615, then decided I should try to sleep. My folks were up, since they had to take Jamie to the airport, and Puck went out to greet them and was therefore taken outside to potty -- yay! They left shortly after and Puck came back to sleep.
I awoke around 0930 or so and went into the kitchen after feeding Puck. By the time I got in there, my dad had already taken Puck out to poop -- wooooo! I made myself something to drink and sat down at the table and helped my mom get the My Breast Friend cover back on, since she'd washed it. I finished up my last poster as they got ready and decided we should go to my house today. However, we also had to wait to leave until we knew Jamie was on a flight to Maui.
While we waited, I got hungry, so I started making an avocado, lettuce, and Havarti sandwich, plus I was getting HeyTell messages from Ty! HeyTell was working great, but Ty suggested switching to Skype so we could videochat. I stupidly forgot that our wifi is crap most of the time and we're waiting on our new AirPort to arrive. Needless to say, we switched over and I didn't have wifi, so it wouldn't work. I was able to let him know fairly quickly that we needed to just text. It was at this point when I had to make my sandwich, get my stuff together, get Puck, and get in the car. I was trying my best to not leave Tyler hanging for too long between messages.
We piled in my car -- Dad drove -- and we were on our way. I was uncomfortable immediately. This baby is all about raining the agony down on my body. Ty and I kept chatting and he mentioned needing to wake up early, so I suggested saying goodnight so he could sleep. He said he'd keep chatting, instead, but I didn't really know what else to say and once I did say something, his net went out! We really shouldn't try to push our luck when one of us suggests saying goodnight. His messages were sent about 10 minutes after mine, but I didn't get them for about 20. I texted back, since it showed him as online, but he never responded. I just wanted him to sleep, so he wouldn't be tired.
We listened to some music on the way up and it was hot as freakin' sin when we arrived. The house looked great. I got another pencil, my checkbook, some spiral notebooks, and looked to see if I had the right markers to color mom's posters -- I didn't. I noticed my Nano in the coffee table, so I picked that up, along with a few other things to bring back here.
We got in the truck and headed out for Hobby Lobby to see about getting a baby book and markers. They didn't have a baby book that my mom liked (as she'll be doing it), but we did get some good markers. We paid and then stopped in at Walgreens to get some energy shots for Ty. Apparently within the past year they stopped making all except the 5-Hour brand because I didn't see ANY!!! I was shocked. We headed back to the house and I suggested we stop at Sonic for a frozen treat on the way home.
Before we could head out I had to change the sprinklers, since we were spending tons of money to water our grass. I changed the settings on the front yard to water for 40 minutes once a day and started them earlier in the morning. Then we went out back and I changed the times, but we noticed there were a ton of kinks in the hose. My dad checked and the water in the back wasn't even on!!! He asked why, but I said that I left Ty in charge and didn't even check anything because he can do it. We're thinking that maybe the neighbor guy turned it off at some point because when we turned it on, it was leaking like a sieve. We tried tightening and doing various things -- luckily the sprinkler was on and would sprinkle us because I felt my skin baking in the sun. We finally took it off, then went inside with it. I went to get the single timer and checked to see if it had leaks -- it did not. My dad tried the double one more time, but it was still too leaky, so I put on the single timer. We connected the front/side hose and set it up, then collected the back hose and sprinkler to put in the garage.
My dad wanted to bring the dual timer home to try to fix it, so we packed it up with everything else and threw our stuff in the car. My mom sat in the back with Puck, while my dad straightened our "For Sale" signs and I remembered that I wanted to find my new boat shoes. I checked the hall closet, but they weren't there -- I was pretty sure I moved them to the second bedroom. I checked the second bedroom closet, but didn't see them. Then I looked though my room and the third bedroom quickly, as my folks were waiting to leave. I couldn't find them anywhere! How depressing. I've not even had a chance to wear them and I have no clue where they now are.
Dad asked if they were at the house here, but I haven't seen them. I don't think I would have packed them in a rubbermaid, since that's all stuff I wasn't planning on wearing. I guess I'll have to enlist help to thoroughly check everything here first. Then, if they're not here, I'll look better next time we're at my house. I'd be pissed if someone stole my shoes from my house, but I won't jump to that conclusion until I cannot find them ANYWHERE.
We stopped at Sonic on the way home and decided to get dinner, too. I saw a burger that looked yummy, but I knew I wouldn't be able to fit a sweet treat and a burger, so I got a limeade. The burger was delicious, but a bit too much meat for me. I gave my mom the last 1/4. We also split onion rings. After we ate, we got on the road to Austin. I was totally sleepy from the drive, being in the heat for so long earlier, and having just eaten, but I stayed awake. My dad and I listened to Queen and Air Supply on the way home. Mom and Puck slept in the backseat.
We had to stop at HEB to get milk and a few necessities before we went home. We got milk, cheese, new cereal (Corn Pops for me!) and got home around 1900. I fed Puck and took him out while Dad got ready to go in the pool. I wanted to get in the pool, but knew I needed to lay down and I'd have to lay on my side, which is not conducive to being in the water. I laid in my bed and read for a while, but then fell asleep.
Eventually my folks came inside and my mom accidentally slammed my door cause she didn't want Puck or the laundry to wake me up :) I decided to read a bit more. Unfortunately, my mouth was insanely dry, so I eventually had to get up and get something to drink. I played computer games for a bit while they watched recorded tv shows. We parted ways and headed for bed around 2300.
I decided to check the most obvious places for my Sperry shoes, but did not see them. Will try again tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow will also be the last errands I have to run for quite some time, as it's getting hard to walk and people look at me funny... my mom actually noticed and said, "Did you know that everyone stares at you and looks at you funny?" I said I noticed, but I wasn't sure why...
Do you know where my new boat shoes are or what I did with them? Are they in the box still or did I toss the box?
