Day 248: Rehabilation

I skipped Zumba this morning for two reasons. One = Eisley.  She slept four hours, then I had another four hours til I had to wake up for Zumba. Did she sleep another four hours? No. She slept three. I put her pacifier in and she went back to sleep. Did she sleep a full hour? No. She slept thirty minutes. At that point I knew I had to change and nurse her. Then it was 20 minutes until I needed to wake up and I was irritated.

I thought about being sleepy all day and not getting a chance to nap.  I also thought about the fact that I never get to teach anymore, anyway, so why bother?! The second reason was that I had to leave at 1015 for rehab and that would cut it pretty close... though I didn't remember the second reason for skipping Zumba until I woke up at 0930 and had already skipped it.

Rehab was good. She mashed on me, which felt great, then she had me do some exercises on the Stott Pilates Reformer:

The big black bar on the right folded down and I stood with one foot on the black pad and my other foot on the wood at the end.  Kim put on the desired number of resistance coils, then I had to push my foot on the mat out/away and bring it slowly back in... it was to work my hip/butt sides.  It was a nice exercise.  I wish I could do that exercise more often.  I did a few other exercises, but none were as fun.

After rehab, Mom and I went to HEB.  Luckily, it started to rain, so Dad came in from working in the yard, so we left Eis with him.  We got stuff for dinners this week and I bought pears and apples to make Eis food this week.  I started steaming my apples, then left to nurse Eis and Mom said she'd take them off the heat, but she forgot, even though there was a timer and everything.  They left for dinner and when I came out, the kitchen stunk of fire.

Apparently, the apples were smoking and my dad saw them.  They didn't mention this to me.  I made the apples into apple sauce, then froze it in portions.  However, when I removed the steamer basket, the bottom of the pot was black and crusty! I have no idea what happened, but I realised I can't use those apples!  I owe my mom a new pot and steamer basket... but I think she's going to ignore the pot and buy me a steamer basket -- yay.
